Psalm 8, 38, 68, 98, 128
When I am whining to my mom about how I feel silly for letting things get to me when I could have it so much worse, she likes to remind me of a conversation she had last year. My brother was having surgery several months ago. My mom asked his doctor. “Is this considered a minor surgery?”
His reply was, “the only minor surgery is the one being done on some one else.”
Your burden doesn’t have to seem big to anyone else to be a big deal to you! God cares about them all. I tend to dole my burdens out to God as if I think he can only take so much. I know he is a big God and can handle the big things. But I guess I think even He has a breaking point and so I say, “well, I can hang on to this one... It’s not that heavy.”
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
He wants them ALL! And he wants them daily!
