Psalm 7, 37, 67, 97, 127
The worldly always seem to get their way. It’s NOT FAIR! Whaaaaa!!!!!
Or do they...
Psalm 37:1-2, 7, 8 & 9
Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. ...do not fret —it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
I can waste my time fretting about what I don’t have and the fact that my success does not look like the world’s success. But then I will risk becoming just like them. (vs. 8 do not fret - it leads only to evil.) Or I can wait patiently for him. I can:
Trust in the Lord and do good. Then [I] will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give [me my] heart’s desires.
I could go about it the wrong way and get my "fair share" or I could Wait patiently before the Lord and inherit So Much More!
