Love Letters To My Husband

My husband is amazing. I know you probably get tired of hearing about it. But I just never get tired of talking about it. He is so incredibly kind to me... always! I mean ALWAYS! He is the most giving man I have ever met - of his time, of his own things, (he's been known to spend his gift money on me and/or the kids on a regular basis). He stops to help people in need when It would not even occur to me to do so. He has faithfully encouraged our family in the Lord for 9 years. And as I have already mentioned before, makes it so easy and natural to look to him to lead us because he ALWAYS has our best in mind.

I was working on something I wanted to do for him. I've done it before but was feeling a desire to do it again... In the midst of working on my little project I came across the Be My Valentine” ~ Marriage Challenge!  a fellow blogger was doing and so I decided to blog about my Jarrod project and participate in the challenge. Let's see that's 1 stone and 1...2...3 birds!

I probably should ask Jarrod first if he minds my sharing this but he is asleep next to me and I'm guessing he's pretty content doing that!

So here is the project... it's kind of like a love letter scattered around the house. He does so much for us and I feel there is little else I can do but say, "thanks!" So a few years ago I decided to express my gratitude in my most favoritest way, through writing. As I was walking through the house one day I kept noticing all the little areas that had Jarrod's touch all over it. A fixed furnace, a tightened door knob... Many things I hadn't even acknowledged. So throughout the day I would write a little note and tape it to his finished handiwork. I don't know about him but it blessed the socks off of me. I know the man is charming and fabulous but seeing his care for our family EVERYWHERE I LOOKED, it made me appreciate him all the more.

So, I did this again this week. Have been working on it for a couple of days, took some great pictures with my fancy shmancy camera (a Christmas gift from the awesome husband) and then couldn't get the camera to communicate with the computer. Found myself grateful my 8 year old daughter had followed me around the house taking her own pictures. They'll have to do! (thanks Elyse!)

This one met him on the way to the back door when he got home from work today...
This one was on the door...

Above the kitchen sink,
because if it's empty and clean that must mean Jarrod is home.
He does the dishes often since I started feeling puny...

[You are my hero for helping do chores]

On the girl's bedroom door...

There were many more, the kids had a blast trying to find them all but kept losing count of how many. That made this go around extra fun. My babies were just that - babies - when I did this a few years ago. Now that some of them can read, they got to celebrate all that Jarrod does for us too! We spent the evening talking about how special daddy is. Jarrod has not even found all of them yet, which means tomorrow I get to see the reminders all over the house again! We are so blessed to get to call this amazing man husband/daddy. Hope we can find even more ways to let him know how much he means to us.
